First you must walk along the ford and try to estimate the depth of the water and try to detect whether there are any underwater obstacles like big rocks. Make sure that the river isn’t that deep that the water will run into the air inlet flab. Make sure that you use the all-wheel drive when crossing the river, and lock the inter-axial differential, if you have one. Drive slowly in the water, if the water splashes into the windshield you are driving too fast. Do not shift the gears when you are in the water, the only pedal you use is the gas pedal. Crossing a river can be exciting adventure, but you have to be careful crossing these rivers, because you don’t want to have your car stuck in the middle of the river.
